DESCRIPTION: The technique of paper piecing (sometimes called foundation paper piecing) uses a drawn or printed pattern as a base to stitch on directly, and can help you achieve complicated patchwork with perfect piecing. In this class you will learn tips for getting started with this technique and be provided with three patterns for blocks to help build your paper piecing skills. These completed blocks can be turned into a hot pad, a small wall hanging/banner or go onto make more, more, more until you have a whole quilt ready to go! This is a great technique to have in your skill bank. As mentioned you can make the most intricate, complicated patterns with ease and precision.
