Blanket stitch applique is an alternaative to satin stitch. It is a versitile and aesthetically pleasing way to machine applique fabric motifs. Our morning tasks will include transferring designs to fabric, fusing and the practicing a consistent blanket stitch using your machine options. The afternoon is an opportunity to use your blanket stitch techniques on a project......either a small butterfly project or a project of your own
This class is not based on a specific project. It is about applique and specifically doing a Blanket Stitch. You will have a chance to learn all about and then practice—tracing, stitching, thread choices and stabilizing. We will have a pattern available for you to purchase and an optional template. You can then continue to work on the Little Butterflies project or you can dig through your projects and get out the ones you have been meaning to get at for ages!
